Belk to Open New Store at Creekside
Town Center in New Braunfels, Texas
New 95,000-square-foot fashion store opens in fall 2013
 
CHARLOTTE, N.C., Jan. 29, 2013 – Belk, Inc., the nation’s largest family owned and operated department store company, today announced that it will open a new fashion store at Creekside Town Center in New Braunfels, Texas. The grand opening of the store, which represents a $9.5 million investment by Belk, is set for fall 2013. The center is located at I-35 and FM Rd 306.
 
The 95,000-square-foot store will incorporate the latest in retail design, lighting, merchandise presentation and décor, and will offer outstanding assortments of the top brands and latest styles of fashion apparel, shoes and accessories for the whole family, plus cosmetics and home merchandise. 
 
“We’re pleased and excited to be opening a fabulous new Belk fashion store in New Braunfels,” said Jan Clevenger, chair of the Belk Western Division based in Birmingham, Ala. “We’re designing the store and planning its merchandise assortments especially for this community with the goal of creating a fun and compelling shopping environment for customers. The store will offer a wide selection of fashion merchandise with top designer and national brands, along with our exclusive lines of Belk merchandise. Belk currently operates 13 Texas stores in Greenville, Nacogdoches, Waco, Lufkin, Paris,
Sherman, Kerrville, McKinney, Waxahachie, Rockwall, Flower Mound, Weatherford and Fort Worth.
