It’s not easy finding retail space in the Austin market at the moment.

For a variety of factors, new retail construction in the region is only being slowly developed, and what gets built is usually spoken for by the time the contractors leave the scene. Retail rents are up to $21.01 per square foot as of this past june.

Retail space may be more readily available in the region’s established shopping centers, which we ranked by size in the Aug. 14 weekly print and digital edition of the Austin Business Journal.
