The Forum updates the latest on the Camp Forbing Marketplace development

In December, the Shreveport City Council adopted the zoning amendment that will permit NewQuest Properties to purchase the tax-exempted property from the YMCA. The closing is scheduled at the end of March 2015.
Camp Forbing Marketplace will be NewQuest Properties’ first development outside of Texas. The mixed-use project will be anchored by a 120,000-square-foot high-end national chain grocery store and will also feature a 24-hour fitness facility, a coffee shop and other retail and commercial businesses. Shreveport’s position as the third largest city in Louisiana and its location at the center of the Ark-La-Tex region where Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas meet are other carrots for pulling potential new businesses to the area.
