HOUSTON, TEXAS: NewQuest Properties is pleased to announce the closing of its first development in Louisiana. The new development, Camp Forbing Marketplace, is located in Shreveport on the southwest corner of Flournoy Lucas Road and Ellerbe Road. The project will be anchored by a 120,000-square-foot Kroger Marketplace and a state-of-the-art YMCA facility. Camp Forbing Marketplace brings vibrant retail and restaurants to a previously unserved area of town, as well as a proposed two-story office building.

The design of Camp Forbing Marketplace offers a unique planned development incorporating key elements of a community center with a water amenity, interconnected lighted pedestrian walkways and outdoor seating areas surrounded by natural landscaping to name a few. The design also serves as the first commercial Planned Unit Development in the city of Shreveport and is the result of a collaboration with Shreveport city officials and community leaders.

“NewQuest is excited to break ground on our first project in Louisiana” says Katherine Hatcher, President and COO for NewQuest Properties. “We are looking forward to providing the community with greater options for retail and dining in this area.”

Camp Forbing Marketplace is scheduled to open in 2016.
