NewQuest Properties and Kroger Break Ground in North Richland Hills

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS – March 6, 2014: Kroger and NewQuest Properties held a ground breaking ceremony today to announce the construction of a 123,000-square-foot Kroger Marketplace located at the southwest corner of North Tarrant Parkway and Precinct Line Road in North Richland Hills, Texas. The North Richland Hills Marketplace will anchor a shopping center development that will feature other retailers, banks and restaurants.

County and city officials from North Richland Hills and Tarrant County joined executives from Kroger and NewQuest Properties for the ground breaking ceremony.

“NewQuest is again honored to be partnering with Kroger at one of our developments,” says Jay Sears, Managing Partner for NewQuest Properties. “This will be the fourth Marketplace store NewQuest has been a part of. Our other Marketplace developments include the Brazos Town Center in Rosenberg, Texas and Sam Houston Town Center in Willis, Texas, and we just announced a Marketplace groundbreaking at Lantana Town Center in Bartonville, Texas.”

Kroger currently operates 10 Marketplace stores in Texas.

Kroger’s 123,000-square-foot Marketplace store is a multi-department store offering full-service grocery, pharmacy, fresh foods, and general merchandise including apparel, furnishings, home goods, small appliances and jewelry.. There store will also feature a Kroger Fuel Center.

The new store will create approximately 300 new jobs and is expected to open in early 2015.
