Rosenberg Shopping Options Expand in Brazos Town Center

August 21, 2017

A new lease with a national pet store chain is jump-starting construction of another retail building in Rosenberg’s Brazos Town Center.

Designs are being drawn for a 20,500-square-foot building for one of the remaining development sites in the 550-acre project.

Brazos Town Center, an open-air complex with more than 1.8 million square feet of space, is being developed by Houston-based NewQuest. It occupies the northwest and southwest quadrants of the intersection of U.S. 59 at FM 762.

“It is definitely a unique situation that we have so many roads bordering this project. That’s one of the reasons it’s been so successful,” Bob Conwell, vice president of Houston-based NewQuest, said in a statement announcing the new lease.

Florida-based Pet Supermarket signed an 8,000-square-foot lease in the planned building, which is in the project’s second phase where construction is under way for Blue Lion Salon Studios and Five Below. An IHOP and Valvoline are also planned.

Brazos Town Center is NewQuest’s largest project. It includes 620 multifamily units and a medical/professional office park.

NewQuest’s Conwell and Austen Baldridge are marketing the property. Pet Supermarket was represented by Debbie Adams of Edge Realty Partners.
