Chesmar Homes is nearing completion of its Apollo Plan being built for the Benefit Homes Project, a Greater Houston Builders Association fund-raiser.

Chesmar is donating construction management and The Reserve at Brazos Town Center’s developer, NewQuest Properties donated the homesite. Proceeds from the sale of the home will benefit Texas Children’s Cancer Center, Alzheimer’s Association and HomeAid Houston.

Guests from Chesmar Homes, NewQuest Properties, the charities and the GHBA were on hand to show their appreciation to the dozens of trades and vendors who donated their time, materials and services for the construction of Chesmar’s Benefit home.

Don Klein, president of Chesmar Homes, thanked the guests for attending and he recognized their generosity. Bill Frey, president of Frey Development Co. and partners with NewQuest Properties spoke about the commitment he and NewQuest have to giving back to the community through charities such as the Benefit Homes Project.

The charities benefiting from the sale of the home were also on-hand. Representing HomeAid Houston was Ron Martin 2012 vice president of HomeAid and vice president of operations for Grand View Builders. Speaking for the Alzheimer’s Association was Alexis Eaton, development officer. Also speaking on behalf of the Alzheimer’s Association was guest, Bill Frost who has been diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s. And spokeswoman for Texas Children’s Cancer Center was JoAnn Grisanti, senior director, development for Texas Children’s Hospital.

Appreciation awards were presented to the donating members by Raymond Willburn, director of purchasing for Chesmar.
