The Union Kitchen And Jax Grill Are Headed to Katy
December 18, 2018
Two popular restaurants from inside the loop, The Union Kitchen and Jax Grill, are coming to Katy next year.
Paul and Doris Miller, owners of Gr8 Plate Hospitality, operate the restaurants and live in Katy, so this is a homecoming of sorts for their eateries. The Union Kitchen will debut its sixth location at Stableside at Falcon Landing in Cinco Ranch within a 5,000 square-foot space that seats 450. The kitchen will continue serving its lengthy menu of global-meets-Southern cuisine like salads, pizzas, hearty cuts of meat and a bounty of seafood dishes including “Cajun Seafood Pasta Pizza” and barbecue pulled pork tostadas.
Nearby, across a shared green space, the Millers’ third outpost of Jax Grill will serve Tex-Mex and Cajun-inspired eats from within a 4,000 square-foot space with seating for 350. Diners can look forward to chowing down on fajitas and fried shrimp po’ boys along with burgers, salads, and fries from the large patio (both restaurants boast plentiful outdoor seating).
“The Katy area has been growing for a long time, and we really feel like with the demographics and the families that we have out here, it will be a good fit for our concepts,” Paul said in a statement. “We’re very connected and committed to the communities and neighborhoods that we serve, and we look forward to continuing that in Katy.”
